Our Activities
Jan Swarajya Seva FoundatioNTB Awareness Program
As a humanitarian and health-focused organization, we at Jan Swarajya Seva Foundation are committed to ensuring community health. Under the National TB Elimination Program (NTEP), over 25 lakh TB cases were notified in 2023 and 2024. To combat this, we believe in taking multiple small steps, starting with awareness. We educate the public about TB symptoms, treatment, and prevention. Our goal is to create an informed society that can recognize and act against TB effectively, ultimately leading to a healthier community.
Nutrition Support for TB Patients
We also extend health assistance to TB patients who lack access to nutritious food and proper treatment. Seeing their struggle has motivated us to support them through nutrition programs. We organize distribution events where our president personally hands over essential food items designed to help patients cope better with TB. This initiative ensures that vulnerable patients receive the dietary support they need to strengthen their immune systems and improve their recovery outcomes.
Blood Donation Camp Organisation
The need for blood is constant and urgent, with India alone requiring 14.6 million units every year. Blood cannot be stored forever, and every two seconds, someone needs blood. Recognizing this critical demand, we regularly organize blood donation camps throughout the year. Donating blood is one of the noblest acts, and we are deeply grateful to all health professionals and volunteers who support us. Through these camps, we help save countless lives and promote a culture of voluntary blood donation.
Tree Plantation Drives
Increasing environmental issues are a serious concern for any responsible society. As conscious citizens, we at Jan Swarajya Seva Foundation raise community awareness about the importance of tree plantation for a healthier environment. We conduct tree plantation drives and also distribute saplings to encourage more people to participate. These efforts aim to combat climate change, improve air quality, and create greener surroundings, thereby fostering a sense of responsibility and connection to nature among community members.
HIV Awareness Program
In 2021, India had around 24 lakh people living with HIV, with Maharashtra alone accounting for nearly one-fifth of this figure. The state’s HIV prevalence is higher than the national average. To address this, we organize awareness programs on HIV to educate people about the disease, its treatment, and preventive measures. We also focus on breaking the stigma associated with HIV. By empowering people with knowledge, we aim to create a more informed and compassionate society.
Cloth Donation to Tribal People
We organized a cloth donation program specifically for tribal communities, recognizing their challenges in accessing basic needs. In this initiative, 300 unprivileged tribal individuals received clothes, providing them with essential support and comfort. Our goal is to ensure that even the most marginalized communities feel cared for and included. Through such initiatives, we strive to promote dignity and improve the living conditions of underprivileged tribal people, fostering a stronger, more inclusive society.
Study Supply Distribution Among Children
Still, education remains a financial burden for many tribal people, often leaving children behind due to the inability to afford basic study supplies. To address this, we distribute stationery and study materials to tribal children. Recently, we supported 150 needy unprivileged children through this initiative, helping them continue their education without added financial stress. By providing these essential supplies, we aim to encourage learning and empower children to pursue their dreams, ultimately contributing to the community’s overall development.
